Groundies was founded in 2019 in the Black Forest and is now worn in over 150 countries. It is developed in Germany and manufactured in countries including Portugal. The brand's hallmark is TrueSense® sole technology: All soles are flat, flexible, and have no toe spring – they differ in tread and material thickness, from paper-thin for maximum ground feel to winter-ready with more grip. Many styles are also available in the extra-wide Barefoot+ fit for particularly wide feet.

Frequently Asked Questions About Groundies
How do Groundies fit? This depends on the style – you can find the fit guide on the respective product page. Groundies recommends: If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one; approximately 1 cm of space in front of the toes is ideal.
What does Barefoot+ mean? Barefoot+ is Groundies' extra-wide cut – for maximum toe freedom and particularly wide feet. Styles without the designation have the regular Barefoot fit.
What do GO1, GS1 and GX2 stand for? These are the TrueSense® sole variants. All are flat, flexible, and have no toe spring – they differ in tread and material thickness: GO1, with a 3 mm base and 3.3 mm tread, is the particularly soft version, while GX2 is winter-ready.
