From house slipper to a matter of the heart
I'm Jonas, and my journey with barefoot shoes began in 2010 when I first tried my Leguanos as house slippers. What started as an experiment quickly developed into a deep conviction: natural walking just feels right to me.
Today, over 15 years later, I wear them daily – from everyday life to hiking. This personal experience is the foundation of barfussweltan.shop
The path out of the lecture hall
The journey began in the middle of the pandemic. What started as a side project during my studies – driven by the conviction that good barefoot shoes needed to be more accessible – quickly evolved into a true mission.
In 2020, I gained my first e-commerce experience in the family business. In 2022, I took the leap into self-employment: the founding of barfussweltan.shop.
It quickly became clear to me: I didn't want to be dependent on large marketplaces. I wanted to create a place that stood for genuine advice and human service – with its own shop at the center.
