What is the Leguano Nightstep suitable for?

A lightweight barefoot sneaker for the city, for travel and for long days on your feet. An uncomplicated companion for leisure and everyday life – subtly designed, for the way between train, café and office.

Direct ground feel without a heel: The thin, flexible sole and zero-drop design let you feel the ground, while the wide toe box gives your toes room. This allows your foot to move naturally.

Lightweight and breathable: The quilted polyester upper is breathable and gives the sneaker a textile, modern look. A small charm on the lacing adds a subtle detail.

Handmade in Germany: From the yarn to the LIFOLIT® sole, the Nightstep is manufactured in Germany. The flexible sole is durable and designed for a long lifespan.

Can I wear socks with these shoes?

Yes, absolutely. The name 'barefoot shoe' describes the feeling of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not the absence of footwear.

How much space should there be at the front of the shoe?

Allow an additional 12–17 mm beyond your foot length. For half sizes, choose the larger size (e.g., 39.5 → 40).

Are the shoes waterproof?

No, the quilted polyester upper material allows water to pass through. For wet conditions, models made of water-resistant material are more suitable.

I'm wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what should I be aware of?

Muscle soreness in your calves and soles is normal in the first few weeks – your muscles are being challenged in new ways. Start with 30–60 minutes daily and gradually increase. If you have existing foot ailments or joint problems, speak with your doctor or orthopedist before making the switch.

The LIFOLIT®-lg sole is made exclusively for leguano and combines high flexibility with durability. The quilted polyester upper gives the sneaker its modern, textile look.
Care & Cleaning

Cleaning:Rosé and Mint are machine washable at 30 °C in a laundry net on a gentle cycle (use mild detergent, no fabric softener, no powder); Black is not washable and should only be wiped with a damp cloth. Wash shoelaces separately by hand for all colors.

Impregnation:Before the first wear, impregnate with a high-quality spray (e.g., Collonil) and repeat regularly.

Drying:Not suitable for tumble drying, air dry.
