Our recommendation for children's feet: When buying, plan for 1.2–1.7 cm of extra space from the foot length. This allows the foot enough room to roll and the shoe will last your child several months longer before the next size is due. The values given in the "Ideal foot length" column are based on KOEL's wearing recommendation of 0.6–1.2 cm of space – i.e., how the shoe should fit at the moment it is put on. Since children's feet grow quickly, we include the growth buffer directly in our purchase recommendation.
