Description

What is the KOEL Ravo Wool Tex suitable for?

The Ravo Wool Tex is designed as a children's barefoot boot for family hikes in autumn and weekend winter walks. KOEL includes it in its trekking line, featuring a high shaft and durable rubber sole, made in Portugal. It is equally suitable for the walk to school on frosty mornings.

Quick closure: A Velcro strap and elastic laces close the boot. This makes it quick to put on and take off when you need to head out in a hurry.

Warmly lined, water-repellent: The wool lining keeps feet warm and dry according to the manufacturer. On the outside, suede meets textile, and the boot is specified as water-repellent.

Freedom for children's toes: The wide toe box gives toes room to move naturally with every step. The foot works on its own instead of being restricted – that is the core of a children's barefoot shoe.

In the package: 1 pair of KOEL Ravo Wool Tex, packed in our plastic-free packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my child wear socks in these boots?

Yes, absolutely. The term ‘barefoot shoe’ describes the feel of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not the bare foot.

How much space should there be at the front of the boot?

Allow at least 15 mm in addition to the foot length – the warm lining needs a little more space than in unlined shoes. According to KOEL, the room for growth is already factored into the sizes, so you don’t need to order a larger size.

Is the insole removable in this boot?

Yes, the insole is removable. According to the manufacturer, it is made from recycled thermo felt.

My child is wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what should I look out for?

Children generally get used to barefoot shoes faster than adults because their foot muscles have not yet weakened. Still, introduce the shoes gradually and speak to a pediatrician or orthopedist if you notice anything unusual.

Do feet stay dry in the Ravo even in puddles?

Don’t rely on it: KOEL rates the Ravo as water-repellent, not waterproof. A Wellington boot is better suited for puddles and mud.
